Mission Statement Holy Cross N.S. is a co-educational National School under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Waterford & Lismore, committed to promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral & spiritual. The school, building on a foundation of academic excellence, endeavours to instill an appreciation of fine arts, an acceptance of environmental responsibility and an awareness of cultural diversity and social justice. As a Catholic school, Religious education is provided in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church while recognising and respecting the beliefs and practices of non-catholic children. Working in partnership with parents, we aim to prepare children to meet future educational challenges and to function well in an evolving society.
